S. A 79 kg skier starts from rest and skiis straight down (no turning) through a vertical
elevation loss of 125m.
a) neglecting air resistance find the final velocity of the skier, (is this reasonable?)
b) If the final velocity is actually only 24 m/s, how much of the original potential energy
is converted to forms other than kinetic? What happens to the "lost energy"?
