Officer Dwayne is pushing a crate to the right. The crate is moving to the right at constant speed. As the crate moves to the right, Officer Fidel is pushing it to the left while Detective Camille is reading case reports on top of the crate. Camille moves with the crate (without sliding between the top of the crate and Camille). Dwayne pushes with a force of 350.3 newtons. Fidel pushes with a force of 129.0 newtons. Camille has a mass of 51.0 kg while the crate has amass of 43.0 kg. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the crate and the floor is 0.240. For the purposes of this problem, we are interested in what happened while the crate moved a distance of Δx = 0.540 meters to the right.

Required:
As the crate moved a distance 0.54 m to the right, what was the work done by the Earth via gravity on the crate. Include only the work done by gravity. The sign (positive or negative) is important.

Aspring with a mass of 2 kg has a damping constant 14 kg/s. a force of 3.6 n is required to keep the spring stretched 0.3 m beyond its natural length. the spring is stretched 0.6 m beyond its natural length and then released. find the position of the mass at any time t. (assume that movement to the right is the positive x-direction and the spring is attached to a wall at the left end.)
