Your neighborhood friend invites you to swim in their pool for exercise. You're surprised to see how big their backyard is. The pool is a perfect circle. You use the ladder at the edge and swim exactly 4 laps around the circumference of the pool. You're even more surprised to see your neighbor has a giraffe in their backyard. You're scared of giraffes. From the edge of the pool, it only takes you 1.54 to go straight to the exact middle of the pool. Fortunately, you are 4.1 meters from the edge and the giraffe can only reach 3.4 meters. Time to wait for your friend to come help. How many meters of distance did you actually swim in your exercising? It may help to draw a picture. Remember the formula for circumference of a circle.

Two charged particles, q1 and q2, are located on the x-axis, with q1 at the origin and q2 initially at x1 = 12.2 mm. in this configuration, q1 exerts a repulsive force of 2.62 µn on q2. particle q2 is then moved to x2 = 18.0 mm. what is the force (magnitude and direction) that q2 exerts on q1 at this new location? (give the magnitude in µn.)
