For the first case,

d₁ = s₁×t₁

d₁ = 20(600)

d₁ = 12000 m.

For the second case,

d₂ = s₂×t₂ Equation 2

Given: s₂ = 34 m/s, t₂ = 10 min. = 600 s

d₂ = 34(600)

d₂ = 20400 m

Therefore,

Total distance (D) = 12000+20400

D = 32400 m
