What is the relationship between weight and friction

Weight, thanks to gravity,helps push things down faster. So for example, a meteor comes down and before it gets here, friction turns it to nothing depending on its weight.

Matter- that which occupies space and possesses rest mass, especially as distinct from energy.

Mass- Mass is the property of matter, a property which is the measure of Object’s resistance to acceleration when a force is applied . It also determines the strength of its mutual gravitational attraction to other bodies. Mass is measured in various units like Kilogram , Gram or Pounds depending upon convention used.

Friction is a resistance. Friction is one of the main things responsible for what we have acquired in our daily lives like ability to write on a paper and responsible for what we could not acquire yet like no heat dissipation in a mechanical process.
