Helicopter flies a distance of = 250 Km,

In the direction of θ = 60⁰ , (South-East)

Find the Displacement in East component of the helicopter = ?

As shown in the fig.

The displacement in east component is = 250 cos 60⁰

                                                                  = 125 Km

The east component is the horizontal component along the X-axis. And the south component is in vertically downwards along Y -axis.

So displacement in East component is 125 KM.
