A cyclist intends to cycle up a 7.8° hill whose vertical height is 150 m. They start from rest and the mass of the bicycle plus the cyclist is 75 kg. a. Calculate how many kJ of work must be done
b. If the cyclist does 120 kJ of work, what will their velocity in m/s be at the top of the hill?
c. From the top, the cyclist then coasts (not pedaling) down the other side of the hill. If they start with the speed from part (b), what will their final speed be at the bottom of the hill (0 m)?
