A projectile of mass 0.15 kg is fired horizontally giving it a speed of 10 m/s from the top of a
cliff of height h = 2m. The projectile slides across the flat rough surface, friction causing it to
slow down (ux = 0.6). The projectile, with its new smaller speed falls from the cliff landing a
distance x away from the base of the cliff.
a) With what horizontal velocity does the projectile leave the cliff?
b) How far does the projectile land, distance x measured from the base of the cliff?
c) With what speed does the projectile hit the floor?
25 200 cm
