Why are the seasons OPPOSITE in the Northern and Southern hemispheres? * The Earth gets closer to the sun at some parts of its orbit.
The Earth flips over as it goes around the sun.
When one hemisphere is tilted towards the sun, the other is tilted away.
The top and bottom of the sun put out different amounts of heat.
They aren't opposite. It's summer everywhere on Earth at the same time.

Consider a one meter long horizontal pipe with a constant 100 cm^2 cross sectional area. water flows rightward into the pipe at x = 0 with flow velocity 02m/sec at every point within the pipe intake area. at x=1, the rightward flow rate is 0.192 m/sec. assume the water is a conserved quantity in the pipe, so there must be a leak (a sink) somewhere in the pipe. 1. compute net volumetric flow of the source if the system to be in equilibrium. 2. now assume the pipe in the problem has no leaks. compute the net volumetric rate of change for the system.

You are a researcher for a golf club manufacturer. you are given two identical looking cubes of a metal alloy. you are informed that they are made of the exact same material, but one is crystalline, whereas the other is amorphous. it is your job to determine which one is amorphous this one is more stress-resistant and is useful in reinforcing golf clubs. which of the following is the best way to determine which is which? a. determine the density of each cube. the more dense one is the amorphous solid. b. melt both cubes and look for a broader range of melting temperatures. the one that melts over a broader range of temperatures is the amorphous solid. c. determine the density of each cube. the less dense cube is the amorphous solid. d. melt both cubes and measure the range of melting temperatures. the one that melts over a narrower range of temperatures is the amorphous solid.
