Metals is defined as the solid material which shows lustrous appearance and is a good conductor of electricity while non-metal are defined as the material which are not in solid form, have no luster and are bad conductor of electricity.

Two metals which are so unusual are mercury and sodium because metals are generally solid bur mercury is present in liquid form and metals are hard but sodium is so soft.

Two non-metals which are so unusual are diamond and iodine because diamond is opposite to the property of non-metals that is hard and iodine shows lustrous appearance whereas non-metals are non- lustrous.

Hence, Two example of metals are mercury and sodium and two example of non-metals are diamond and iodine.
