Kyle and Cayden are playing catch with a baseball. Kyle is 30 m away when he throws the ball at 35° with a speed of 60 m/s. (What a cannon!!) It only takes Cayden 1 second to realize the ball is going to go over his head. He turns and chases after the ball and catches it on the fly at the same height that Kyle threw it from.
What was Cayden's average speed in m/s?

An alpha particle with kinetic energy 12.5 mev makes a collision with lead nucleus, but it is not "aimed" at the center of the lead nucleus, and has an initial nonzero angular momentum (with respect to the stationary lead nucleus) of magnitude l = p0 b, where p0 is the magnitude of the initial momentum of the alpha particle and b=1.40×10−12 m. (assume that the lead nucleus remains stationary and that it may be treated as a point charge. the atomic number of lead is 82. the alpha particle is a helium nucleus, with atomic number 2.) what is the distance of closest approach?

According to rutherford's nuclear theory, most of the volume of an atom is , so the volume of a hydrogen atom cannot be mostly due to the proton.according to rutherford's nuclear theory, the core of an atom (nucleus) contains most of of an atom and is , so the majority of the mass of a fluorine atom cannot be due to its nine electrons.according to rutherford's nuclear theory, the number of negatively charged particles outside the nucleus the number of positively charged particles within the nucleus, so a nitrogen atom has 7 protons and 7 electrons, while a phosphorous atom cannot have 15 protons and 150 electrons.word bank: dense, empty space, more than, mass, particles, the same as, less than, positively charged, negatively charged
