What is the relationship between supernovae and star formation? -Matter ejected into space during supernovae forms new stars.
-Stars are born when supernovae initiate nuclear fusion within clouds of space dust and
gas
-Supernovae mark the absolute end of a star; the star's matter is destroyed during the
explosion, so that no more stars can form from it.
-Supernovae produce black holes, in which clouds of space dust and gas are exposed to
tremendous pressure; these clouds eventually condense to form new stars.
