A slippery plastic block is resting on a ramp that makes an angle of 20° with the horizontal. The coefficient of static friction between the block and the ramp is 0.2. The coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.15. Will the block start sliding on its own?
If you found that the block slid in part a, calculate its acceleration. If not, then calculate the minimum angle the ramp must have to start the block sliding.

If you answer with something else that isn't the answer, I'll report your answer.

An engineer designs a roller coaster so that a car travels horizontally for 152 ft, then climbs 137 ft at an angle of 34.0° above the horizontal. it then moves 137 ft at an angle of 48.0° below the horizontal. if we take the initial horizontal motion of the car to be along the +x-axis, what is the car's displacement? (give the magnitude of your answer, in ft, to at least four significant figures and give the direction of your answer in degrees counterclockwise from the +x-axis.)
