1) Maxwell the dog is trying to catch the cat, Shadow, using induction. He glues a strong magnet to Shadow’s collar, then puts a coil of wires consisting of 100 turns each with an area of 0.2m^2 next to some cat food. When Shadow walks through the coil, a current is induced in the loops which triggers a switch to drop a cage on Shadow. A minimum current of 0.2A is needed to spring the trap. The coils have a resistance of 120ohms. If the change in magnetic field is 0.3T in 0.2s as shadow walks through the coils, does the trap spring? If not, what can Maxwell do to fix his design?
