03.03 take a hike assignment instructions
1. take a walk/hike on a trail you've never hiked before. remember that you can use a map or online resource to you locate nature trails in your area.
2. take photos of your experience on the walk. examples of what to photograph include: trees and plants, animals, insects, litter or other evidence of man, and the supplies you brought on your hike. be sure at least one photograph shows you on the trail.
3. write a reflection of your experience on the hike/walk. the written reflection should include:
observations of what you saw and experienced
whether or not your supplies were adequate for your hike
what you enjoyed about the hike and anything that was new for you
comparison of this walk to a previous hike/walk
4. compose a presentation (web-based or slideshow) that includes the written reflection and four to six photos from your walk.
5. submit the completed presentation to your instructor as assignment 03.03 take a hike.
