Hypothesis
Before you begin your lab, review the procedures. Then write a hypothesis that reflects what you think will happen to the water temperature. Record your hypothesis as an ā€œif, thenā€ statement.
My hypothesis is that if we measure both cold and hot water

Procedure
1. Gather materials.
2. Measure 50 ml of hot water and 50 ml of cold water into separate foam cups.
3. Use a thermometer to measure the temperature of hot water and the cold water. Record your prediction for the final temperatures.
4. Pour the hot and cold water into a third foam cup.
5. Allow some time for the thermometer to reach a final temperature, then measure the temperature of the water. Record the temperature in the data table.
6. Repeat for a total of three trials.
