Principles of Physics 2 Problem (Calculus based) Help A thin cylindrical shell of radius R and length L, like a soda straw, is uniformly charged with surface charge density η. What is the electric field strength at the center of one end of the cylinder? The answer is supposed to be E=\frac{n}{2E_{0}} [1-\frac{R}{\sqrt{(L^{2}-R^{2})} } ], where E(sub 0) is epsilon 0 and the "n" is the surface charge density (η). Can someone explain how to get the answer? Kind of confused on what to do.

The temperature in gavin's oven is a sinusoidal function of time. gavin sets his oven so that it has a maximum temperature of 280°f and a minimum temperature of 240°. once the temperature hits 280°, it takes 20 minutes before it is 280° again. gavin's cake needs to be in the oven for 30 minutes at temperatures at or above 270°. he puts the cake into the oven when it is at 260° and rising. how long will gavin need to leave the cake in the oven? (round your answer to the nearest minute.)

A50 kg student climbs 3 m to the top of a set of stairs. calculate the change in the student’s gravitational potential energy from the bottom to the top of the stairs. show your calculations and include units in your answer. how much total work does the student do while climbing the stairs? show your calculations or explain your reasoning. include units in your answer. it takes the student 30 s to climb to the top of the stairs. what is the average power generated by the student climbing the stairs? show your calculations and include units in your answer. the next day the student carries a 10 kg backpack up the same stairs and again takes 30 s to reach the top of the stairs. is the average power you calculated in part (c) greater than, less than, or equal to the average power the student generated the next day? explain your answer.
