The first thing that I did was calculate the momentume of each shape before the collisions. To find the momentum
before the collision I used thew equation p=m*v. Using
this equation I found the momentums for the triangle and
the circle. For the triangle the before momentum
was(2kg)*(4m/s) = 8kg*m/s and the circle was (6kg)*(4m/
s) =24kg*m/s. With those two shapes coliding I had to add
both of those numbers together and it would be 32kg*m/s.
Next, I used the momentum equation (p=m*v) to figure out
who's speed was found AFTER the collision which was
(32-24)= 8kg*m/s. Since the momentum before was
32kg*m/s. I subtracted the total by the circle before and
the circle after thr collision. Finally I usesd the
momentum equation, solved for v (p=m*--> v=p/m) to
determine the velocity of the circle after the collision

-I want this re-worded but similar

Engineers find a new metal that is stronger than steel but much lighter. this material is also significantly cheaper than what is currently used for most aircraft, available in large quantities, and easy to manufacture. the engineers are excited because this new material will lower the costs of buying and operating airplanes for companies. what is probably the best step for the engineers to make next?
