Death Valley holds the record for the highest recorded temperaturein the United States. On July 10, 1913, at a place called FurnaceCreek Ranch, the temperature rose to 134°F. The lowest U. S.temperature every recorded occurred at Prospect Creek Camp inAlaska on January 23, 1971, when the temperature plummeted to-79.8°F.

(a) Convert these temperatures to the Celsiusscale.
T = 134°F 1°C
T = -79.8°F 2°C

(b) Convert the Celsius temperatures to Kelvin.
T = 134°F 3 K
T = -79.8°F 4 K

The temperature at a point (x, y) is t(x, y), measured in degrees celsius. a bug crawls so that its position after t seconds is given by x = 6 + t , y = 8 + 1 3 t, where x and y are measured in centimeters. the temperature function satisfies tx(3, 9) = 5 and ty(3, 9) = 4. how fast is the temperature rising on the bug's path after 3 seconds? (round your answer to two decimal places.)
