That's false.  Convection is the process of moving heat around
by heating a fluid and letting the fluid flow to somewhere else. 
There's no fluid in the space between the sun and us, so convection,
and conduction too, aren't possible.  The only way for the sun's light,
heat, and X-ray energy to get here is by the process of RADIATION.
