Just be your true authentic self. The more you try to be like someone else, or be a follower, or conform yourself to fit in, the less true to yourself you will be. Believe it or not, being different is attractive. Yet at the same time, nothing is really normal. We all have differences that make us unique; therefore no one is 100% normal. To "win friends" you just need to be you. It'll come naturally - even if you're an introvert. You don't necessarily need to try. You will find you're people someday. And that's a fact.

As for how to influence people, you really just need to make sure you're acting in a way that is inspiring. Think about things from a different perspective. Try to do your best and be your best self 24/7. You can change people's opinions just by being nice. You can remove people's grudges by lending a helping hand. You don't need to stop global warming, or discover a drug that can cure cancer to make a difference. The small things that you do, like holding a door for a stranger, or buying groceries for an elder in your neighborhood have an immeasurable impact. Try do more of these small things, and before long you'll notice your influence in your community and maybe even the world.
