The driver of a car that has a mass of 1400 kg is coasting down a hill. He sees a stop sign at the bottom of the hill. His speed when he begins to brake is 28 m/s and he is 200 m from the stop sign up the hill which has a grade of 10%. How much energy, in the form of heat, must his brakes dissipate to bring him to a full stop? Neglect wind and other frictional resistance.
