Space propulsion project
goal: choose what type of propulsion system you would like to use for your spaceships trip from earth to the astroid belt beyond mars. you are free to choose any of the ship types but you must calculate the time from earth to the astroid belt. you must also calculate the final velocity.
mission specs:
drive types, propulsion force (n), mass (kg)
ion drive, 0.1 n, 20,000 kg
space sail, 1 n, 25,000 kg
conventional rocket, 30,000 n, 40,000 kg

other needed info: the ship is in an orbit around the earth beyond the moon. you can assume the starting velocity of the ship is 0 and the earth and suns pull on the ship is negligible. the asteroid belt is about 2.8 au from the sun or 1.8 au from the earth. this is a distance if about 2.5x10^11 m
