The grounded conductor of a branch circuit is permitted to serve as the equipment grounding conductor for a replacement range or cooktop when all the following conditions are met, except for

a. the grounded conductor is not smaller than no. 10 copper or no. 8 aluminum
b. the individual branch circuit is existing
c. the grounded conductor is insulated, unless it is part of type se cable
d. the branch circuit uses listed wire connectors
