Aproton of mass 1 u travelling with a speed of 3.6 x 10 ^4 m/s has an elastic head on collision with a helium nucleus initially at rest. assuming the collision takes place in nearly empty space (that is no external forces are involved so momentum will be conserved), what are the velocities of the proton and helium after the collision?
