You use a p-20 micropipette to transfer 20 µl of water to a microcentrifuge tube. next, you use a p-200 to add 200 µl of dye to the same tube. finally, you use a p-1000 set to 220 µl to remove the mixture from the tube. you see there is a 1 cm air space at the end of your p-1000 pipette tip after all the liquid has been withdrawn from the tube. propose two specific reasons this could occur and explain how you could test each of these possibilities. "specific" means something more than just "i must have made a mistake." how will you distinguish between user error (something you did wrong) and instrument error (something that’s wrong with the micropipette)?

Orque can be calculated by multiplying the force (n) applied at 90? to the lever arm at a distance (m) from the pivot point (point of rotation), the compound si unit for the torque is n? m. if the force (at 90? to the lever arm) applied is 15 n and it is applied at 2.0 m from the pivot point (point of rotation), what is the torque on the lever?

Assume you measured the mass of the cart to be (500 ± 1) g and the mass of the additional mass you put on the cart to be (500 ± 1) g as well. since the scale you are using in the lab cannot measure objects heavier than 600g you will have to sum up individual pieces and propagate the error. so what would be the mass and the standard error of the cart and the mass
