Project: finding your musical heritage
take some time to explore your heritage. if you don't already know, ask a parent about your cultural background. find out what culture(s) affect who you are and what your ancestors were like. you'll be using your own heritage as the basis for this project.
during this project, you'll accomplish the following:
objectives
explore your personal musical heritage.
record your findings.
part 1 - research your musical heritage
step 1: find your musical heritage by choosing one part of your ethnic heritage to research the music. for example, if you have both irish and english roots, you may choose either culture and research its music.
step 2: research these elements of the traditional ethnic music in the culture you've chosen.
singing: what does it sound like in the culture? what is it used for?
instrumental: what does it sound like in the culture? what is it used for?
dancing: is traditional dance practiced in this culture? if so, for what?
step 3: explain the use of at least three instruments and illustrate them with pictures.
step 4: include at least two audio samples (or links to them) and discuss their musical sound.
step 5: compile your findings into a report of at least 400 words, being sure to include each of the elements you researched: types of music, unique sound, instruments, pictures, and audio examples.
use the rubric (grading guidelines) in the link below to evaluate the completeness of your project. your teacher may also use these guidelines in grading your work.

Assume that two of the electrons at the negative terminal have attached themselves to a nearby neutral atom. there is now a negative ion with a charge -2e at this terminal. what are the electric potential and electric potential energy of the negative ion relative to the electron? the electric potential and the electric potential energy are both twice as much. the electric potential is twice as much and the electric potential energy is the same. the electric potential is the same and the electric potential energy is twice as much. the electric potential and the electric potential energy are both the same. the electric potential is the same and the electric potential energy is increased by the mass ratio of the oxygen ion to the electron. the electric potential is twice as much and the electric potential energy is increased by the mass ratio of the oxygen ion to the electron.
