Convection happens as result of particles having a  lot of heat energy in a liquid or gas which rise and move to the part where there is less heat energy to take their place.During convection, Heat energy is been transferred from hot places to cooler places. When Liquids and gases are been heated up, they expand, The denser cold substance then moves into the warm areas.Convection can be regarded as  transfer of heat in a fluid through a a current. these fluid could be air or water . As the fluid been heated up, the particles becomes less dense and then spread out.    The warm water that is present at the bottom of the pot will then rises up then it will display the cold fluids as result of this the cold substance will sink.Example of convection is rising of hot air.
