What major advantage does a parallel circuit have over a series circuit? plz answer asap

A parallel circuit has more than one current path between the battery terminals.  If one path becomes blocked or cut, then current continues to flow through the other [one or more] paths.  This may be an advantage in some types of circuits ... for example, in a string of Christmas-tree lights.

NOTE:  If you have a list of choices and you have to select the 'correct' or 'best' choice, but you decide to just dump the question onto and get the answer from somebody else, you have to realize that nobody else can help you choose the correct one if you don't let them see what the choices are.  The list of choices is a PART of the question.  When you post the question for other people to see, you've GOT TO post the choices too.
