1. think about decorative strings of lights that you might see displayed for a holiday. if the lights are on a series circuit, what will happen if one bulb burns out? what will happen on a parallel circuit if one bulb burns out? 2. when you remove one of the bulbs from a series circuit, what happens to the other bulb? 3. when you removed one of the bulbs from a parallel circuit, what happens to the other bulb? 4. compare the series circuit with one light bulb and a series circuit with two light bulbs. when you make a series circuit with only one light bulb, does the light bulb illuminate the same as the series circuit with two light bulbs? 5. when you first lit all of the bulbs in the parallel circuit, will they all illuminate equally?
