. Submit your 500-word case study on the E. Coli break out. Be sure to include the following:
• Overall summary of the case (all the simple background information your teacher will need to follow along)
• Type of disease-food-borne, zoonotic, reportable, contagious?
Epidemiology of the illness—what clues were followed? How was the cause of illness determined? Was it pandemic,
endemic, or epidemic? What was the vector? What was the pathogen? Was there a sentinel? What other
epidemiological information is available?
• Describe the veterinarian's role in the case. What kind of veterinarian was likely involved? Do not forget to use our
list of types of public health veterinarians from the lesson. An educated guess is ok.
• What government agencies were involved in the case? Were there other major organizations that were involved?
• Include at least one link to a graphic or video along with an explanation of the graphic.
