What was Abagnale’s first con?

Frank Abagnale was born in Bronxville, New York, and lived there until he was sixteen. His first con victim was his father, who gave him a gasoline credit card and a truck when he was fifteen, so that he could get to and from his part-time job. He also stole “almost” $4 million with fraudulent checks. The real figure was $2.5 million. (According to Abagnale's own estimate, he wrote some 17,000 bad checks)
