You have to assume that the 1/8 cube is similiar in shape to the box they are being shipped in.

Volume of the box = 5 * 3 * 2 
Volume of the box = 30 cu feet.

Now when you have a 4 level fraction like this, the rule is to invert and multiply. In other words, you make 1/8 into 8/1 and multiply by 30/1
