Finding coordinates on a curve given a line parallel to the tangent of the curve. we just started calculus a couple days ago and i'm confused about this question. the equation of the curve is 3x^2-4x and the line parallel to the tangent line is y=8x. obviously the slope of the tangent will be 8 but i'm not sure how to find the exact coordinates. most youtube tutorials i've seen are doing derivatives but we haven't learn that yet.
