Slope?  m = = 6/8  = 3/4
                       4 -(-4)

Equation?  Start with y = mx + b.  Then 6 = (3/4)(4) + b, or 6 = 3 + b.  b = 3.

The desired equation is y = (3/4)x + 3.

X= -5because this is a single step equation so you would just have to divide -16 both sides for x to equal your solution
