How to write improper fractions 4 2/9

To convert 4 2/9 to an improper fraction we need to do the following:- 

9 × 4 = 36

Now we will add our answer to the back step by the numerator (2).

36 + 2 = 38

So for our improper fraction the numerator will be 39 and the denominator will stay the same, 9.
