the x int can be found by subbing in 0 for y and solving for x
0 = -1/2x - 6
1/2x = -6
x = -6 * 2
x = -12so ur x int is -12 or (-12,0)

so go ahead and plot ur intercepts(0,-6) and (-12,0)...well...u cant really plot ur x axis because ur graph is not big enoughso start at (0,-6)...and I know the slope is -1/2and u would usually start at (-12,0)...but that is not on the graphso start at (0.-6)and go up 1 and to the left 2, plot that pointthen up 1 and to the left 2...plot that pointu would eventually cross the x axis at (-12,0).
