x = (-7 ± sqrt(7^2 - 4 (-12)))/2 = (-7 ± sqrt(49 + 48))/2 = (-7 ± sqrt(97))/2:
  x = (-7 + sqrt(97))/2 or x = (-7 - sqrt(97))/2
