Distribute the three
(y-2)=3x-9
Add 2 to both sides to isolate the y.
y=3x-7

Now by intersection I'm not quite sure I know what you mean, so I'm just going to give you the points where the graphs intersects with the Axis (idk how to spell it plural, heh sorry).
Now from the equation, we can see that the y-axis intersection is -7 because that's what it stands for in the formula. In order to find the x-axis, we have to plug 0 into the y value of the equation.
y=3x-7
0=3x-7
Add 7 to both sides
3x=7
Divide 3 from both sides and we have the answer for the x-axis intersection.
x=(3/7)
