3.  We can add 5 to both sides to get 20 < 2x, so we have 10 < x, or x > 10.  D is the correct answer.

4.  John is currently x+3 years old.  In 6 years, he will be x+3+6=x+9 years old.  E is the correct answer.

5.  The corduroy suit now costs (100)(1-.05)=95 dollars, and the wool suit costs (300)(100+.1)=330 dollars.  The sum is thus 425 dollars.  D is the correct answer.
