In 2012, Nielsen conducted a study of Netflix use. Respondents were asked what they were primarily watching - movies, TV shows, or both equally. The study showed that 19.2% of all Netflix subscribers primarily watched TV shows through the service. Nielsen plans to undertake a new study of 1617 subscribers to see if this percentage has increased after the service added many more TV shows.
