Madeleine is considering joining a Book of the Month club. She has two membership options. For
the first one, she will pay only $1 for the first book,
but then each additional book will cost $16.95. The
cost for this membership option can be expressed
with the equation y = 1 + 16.95(x - 1), where x is
the number of books she purchases.
Her other option is to purchase books on a
decreasing scale. The table shows how much each
book will cost. The more books she purchases, the
cheaper each book will be. After she buys 5 books,
she can continue to purchase as many book as
she wants for only $10 each.

of she bought 11 books which option would be cheaper
