Easton and Sydney are both driving along the same highway in two different cars to a stadium in a distant city. At noon, Easton is 1000 miles away from
the stadium and Sydney is 700 miles away from the stadium. Easton is
driving along the highway at a speed of 50 miles per hour and Sydney is
driving at speed of 25 miles per hour. Let E represent Easton's distance, in
miles, away from the stadium t hours after noon. Let S represent Sydney's
distance, in miles, away from the stadium t hours after noon. Graph each
function and determine the interval of hours, t, for which Easton is closer to
the stadium than Sydney.
