The distance d (in miles) you travel in a car is given by the two equations shown, (d=55t, d=20g) where t is the time (in hours) and g is the number of gallons of gasoline the car uses. The answer to that for the equation is 55t=20g, so then you solve the equation getting, g=55t/20. Solve this. You travel for 6 hours. How many gallons of gasoline does the car use? And how far do you travel?
