Pls help me… (no copy write) After traveling 4 hours and 1800 miles, an airplane begins steady descent. When it begins descending, it’s altitude(height) is 33,000 feet. After 8 mins, it is at 17,000 feet.

1 How quickly does the airplane descent? In other words, what is the rate of change of the planes altitude? Show your work.

2 When graphing the descent of the plane, what would the starting value be?

3 Write a linear function in y = mx + b form that gives the planes altitude after it begins s it’s descent. Use x to represent the time (In mins) after the descent starts and y to represent the planes altitude (in feet).

4 Is there information given in the problem that you did not need to write an equation for descent? If so what unnecessary information were you given?
