An equation for amount needed would be

9) y = 24x + 9 grams

10) 24(13) + 9 = 231 grams

11)  440 = 24x + 9

     431 = 24x

         x = 17.958333333333...

         x = 17 figurines

Although this is analyzed as a linear function, it is actually a step wise function. We are actually told that no one wants a partial figurine. If one were to make zero wolves, do you think anyone would go through the setup process and waste the 9 grams? I don't. Therefore the ACTUAL y intercept would be (0, 0). The first point plotted would be (1, 33) then (2, 57) then (3, 81) etc.
