Anu 2. (a) A sample of 500 people was classified as athletic or non-athletic. Among 300
classified as athletic, it was found that 48 regularly eat a certain type of breakfast
food. Among the non-athletic persons, 52 of them eat the same type of breakfast food.
Would you conclude that more non-athletic persons prefer the breakfast a a = 0.05?t
(b) To determine if there is significant difference in the proportion of rural and urban
voters favouring a candidate during an election, 120 out of 200 rural voters favoured
the candidate, while 240 out of 500 urban voters favoured the candidate. Draw an
appropriate conclusion using a = 0.05.​
