To figure this out we need to plug in the numbers. If the end numbers on both sides equal each other it is the solution.

x = 8 & y = 5

5(8) - 4(5) = 20
40 - 20 = 20
20 = 20

3(5) = 2(8) + 1
15 = 16 + 1
15 = 17

As you can tell the first equation makes sense so that is the solution.

Just a question- could you organize the data better? i just cannot tell which number are for which bakery. i will be happy to answer this question if you could do this for me! : )
