Colette is on a canoe trip. Her team paddles the canoe at a constant rate of 3 km/h and they portage at a rate of 0.5 km/h. Altogether they will travel 7.5 km.
a) Write an equation to describe this relation. Be sure to identify two variables using “let”

b) Explain the meaning of each term in the equation you created.
c) Determine the intercepts and explain their meanings.
d) Use proper graphing rules to graph this relation. Keep the scale the same on both axes.
e) For these “mixture” type problems, does it matter which variable is independent? Explain.
