0. In the past approximately 4% of persons convicted of felonies served their full sentence. To see if former prisoners at one particular prison are being treated like prisoners in general, we will take a sample of 200 of them picked at random. We will approximate the probability that at least 6 of them had to serve their full sentence. In this case, either Poisson approximation or normal approximation might plausibly be applied. a) Use Poisson approximation on this question b) Use normal approximation on this same question, and compare the answer to a).

Recall that the owner of a local health food store recently started a new ad campaign to attract more business and wants to know if average daily sales have increased. historically average daily sales were approximately $2,700. the upper bound of the 95% range of likely sample means for this one-sided test is approximately $2,843.44. if the owner took a random sample of forty-five days and found that daily average sales were now $2,984, what can she conclude at the 95% confidence level?
